Effect of Radix Caraganae Water Extract on the Blood Pressure of the Rabbit

Abstract
|
|
|
In this study the effect of Radix Caraganae Water Extract (R.C.W.E.) on the blood pressure of the rabbit was investigated.
The results of experiment are as follows :
1. Blood pressure manifested gradual response by fall 8.80±1.74, 17.86±3.11, 26.67±3. 46㎜Hg in proportion to the administration of 0.1, 0.3 and 1.0㎖/㎏ of R.C.W.E.
2. Depressor responses to R.C.W.E. were not blocked by Atropine.
3. Depressor responses to R.C.W.E. were not blocked by Propranonol.
4. Depressor responses to R.C.W.E. were not blocked by Hexamethonium.
5. Depressor responses to R.C.W.E. were not blocked by Pheniramine maleate and Cyproheptadine.
